Al's Big Pancake

Al's Big Pancake

Here's what you'll need:

  • 1/2 cup of flour
  • 1/2 cup of milk
  • 2 eggs
  • Dash of nutmeg
  • 4 tablespoons of butter
  • Cinnamon sugar, fruit, etc. for toppings (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Take out a glass pie plate, and preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Place the butter in the center of the pie plate, and place in the oven while it preheats.
  3. Meanwhile, mix all of the other ingredients together until blended.
  4. Once the butter is melted and sizzling in the oven, pour the batter into the pie plate and cook for about 20 minutes, or until puffed and golden.
  5. Top with cinnamon sugar, powdered sugar, whipped cream, fresh fruit, chocolate chips, or anything you desire. Enjoy!
This recipe comes hails from my Dad, Al. This was his go-to Sunday breakfast when Mom was catching some extra zzzz's. The buttery crust is delicious and light, and it goes with just about any sweet (or savory) topping of your choice!
