Prosciutto Bruschetta Toasts

Prosciutto Bruschetta Toasts

Here's what you'll need:

  • 4 thick slices of sourdough bread (2 per person-ish for dinner)
  • 2 tablespoons of light mayonnaise (or substitute spicy brown mustard)
  • 4-6 slices of prosciutto 
  • 1 cup tomato, diced 
  • 1 cup asparagus, diced 
  • 8 slides of white cheddar, American or provolone cheese from the deli 
  • Grated parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees. Set aside a baking sheet. 
  2. Build your toasts by starting with your mayo and/or mustard to moisten the bread. 
  3. Layer on your ingredients in this order: prosciutto, asparagus, tomato, cheese
  4. Pop in the oven for about 7-9 minutes until the bread is toasted, and the cheese has melted. 
     
This is my own original recipe - but no shock there given how easy it is. Swap in and out ingredients over the seasons for a tasty, easy dinner trick!
