Al's Big Pancake
Here's what you'll need:
- 1/2 cup of flour
- 1/2 cup of milk
- 2 eggs
- Dash of nutmeg
- 4 tablespoons of butter
- Cinnamon sugar, fruit, etc. for toppings (optional)
Instructions:
- Take out a glass pie plate, and preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
- Place the butter in the center of the pie plate, and place in the oven while it preheats.
- Meanwhile, mix all of the other ingredients together until blended.
- Once the butter is melted and sizzling in the oven, pour the batter into the pie plate and cook for about 20 minutes, or until puffed and golden.
- Top with cinnamon sugar, powdered sugar, whipped cream, fresh fruit, chocolate chips, or anything you desire. Enjoy!
This recipe comes hails from my Dad, Al. This was his go-to Sunday breakfast when Mom was catching some extra zzzz's. The buttery crust is delicious and light, and it goes with just about any sweet (or savory) topping of your choice!
